Haha another plan perfectley executed!
For  as a gift for publishing (Or in the makeing of) his "Pacificators" first volume available in print.One of the main charecters Daryl Smithson the Pacificator of light, refracting light throughe a prism, and a wide eyed Travis, one of the supporting cast. (And adorable at that!) I think I overdid it a bit with the 'sparkles' ehehe  Something of a squabble over this erupted between myself and my Mum. I showed it to her because I hadn't shown her too many of my finished PS peices. She loved it and wanted me to make a story with it, I explained that I couldn't because these were not my charecters They were My friend Jeff's. This resulted in heated battle over my morale standings and intentions of gift giving. Her point was: I can't tell the difference between this guys art and yours and blah blah this looks nothing like that. In other words her enthusiasm and misunderstanding led her to suggest I make something sellable with this. I wouldn't because: A) Its a gift. B) Not giving a gift is silly, do you make a birthday cake for someone and then eat it all by yourself? whats the sense in that?, C) Profitting from an ungiven gift and the fact that its unrecognizable to the mass as being directley represenitive of someone else's work, is no better -in my mind- than stealing. The whole of it left me a little shooken as far as to how little my Mum seemed to grasp the concept of Art theft, and guilt on my behalf. If that just confused people: I claim the art, this picture. Morally I will not profit from any 'fanworks' I make, no matter how original they look, if it was intended to represent or resemble something in particular, I will not use it as my own unique idea. Its not mine, the ART IS but the CHARECTERS ARE NOT. I was trying to tell my mum in short that I wouldn't use it as she suggested due to the origional intent that the charecters I drew no matter how close or...not close the the origionals they may look, they were my representation of them. Excactly! Sure I can get all paranoid with Copyright laws but the thought is hey why do that with gifts? just chill. I think my Mum gets it now but meh...I dunno
The jumper was based off of mine but I wanted to give it a sturdy leather texture (When I think Postapocolyptic ish things I think sturdy whatever's reliable for everything, even clothes, yeah but that stems from a different vein in that genre.) I tryed to get that throughe playing with the different photoshop 'filter galleries'. I used waterpaper in the end I think.
