So I've always thought of Samus, way before she was givin a 'defined' look under the powersuit, as being this totally Badass woman that was fairly pretty and intimidatng, muscular and covered in various scars from her battles and adventurs, I mean the power suit can only resist oh so much damage right?
I dunno I just CAN'T imagune her without at least having SOME kind've wounds.
So For more tablet and coloring practice I did this little portrait of her to experiment with possible scars she could have.
The facial (And on the left shoulder) 'vein-scarring' comes from the second prime game where 'Phazon' would infect, and poison Samus, and sometimes you could get a glipse at her face and see how badly the poison was affecting you as the game progressed. The most notable affect was that Samus's face appeared to be cracking and the veins under the skin would glow with phazon and bulge.
The faded punctures on the other shoulder (right) are 'supposed' to be from a metroid, I know, I know, metroids jst drain energy and stuff but when I was little and playing Super Metroid I always thought mabey if the Baby Metroid Samus took in, (For whatever rediculous reason) was out and about it could've like accidently clamped down on her arm, or in this case her shoulder, in shock or fear or something.

I dunno man!
The rest are just generic scars with no real thought put behind them. 8D

Love the stories behind the scars. Especially the phazon scarring.
The glowy facecracking phazon effects in the prime series really stood out to me, they were such a minor detail that you wouldn't even see too much in the first place, but they presented an interesting concept so I played around with it!
'Yes' Would be the answer back.
Well done
